This page contains archived information from the
Lakeview cats site:
A very friendly gray, long hair cat
has been hanging around Harrison Ave and General Diaz for
several weeks. (Note: In early January, this cat must
have found it's way home and is no longer hanging around.)

In August 2007 we trapped three juvenile kittens.
They were living under the slab of a house on Bellaire.
Because the house was getting filled in, they could not be returned
after spay/neuter. ARNO kept the kittens for several months so
that they could be socialized. They are now very sweet and
looking for a forever home. They are in a foster home and
are available for adoption through ARNO. Please
contact us if you are interested in
adopting one if these cuties.
These kitties are going to their new home in
Texas.

REWARD:
Dog missing
SEP 07: Boy is a male mixed breed dog that has been
wandering the streets of New Orleans (probably since Katrina).
He was last spotted near Jesuit High School in early September.
He has been known to roam in Lakeview, Treme and Mid-City. His
bonded companion, a rottie mix, was recently rescued.
If you spot Boy, please do not approach him,
because he is afraid of humans and may run. Please contact
Lise with any information on his whereabouts:
lmccomiskey@shergarner.com or 985-518-6276. (There is a
reward if information provided leads to the safe capture of the
dog.)

Galaxy
has a new home!
AUG 07: Galaxy was rescued from Memphis Street in
February of 2006. His owner Ryan Ballard was located, and
several weeks later Ryan brought Galaxy back to his new home in
Colorado.
Galaxy now has kidney failure (possibly
due to exposure to toxins after Katrina), and needs daily fluid
injections.
Ryan will be out of the country for several
months and has found someone in Colorado to care for
Galaxy while he gone.
